Walnut Avenue Family & Women’s Center provides support and services so that women, children, and families will have the opportunities and skills to thrive.
Walnut Avenue Family & Women’s Center (Walnut Avenue) is a strength-based family center that has been providing services to the community of Santa Cruz County for over 85 years.  Walnut Avenue’s service providing programs include; Early Childhood Education, Services for Children & Youth, Services for Survivors of Domestic Violence, Family Support Services and Community Engagement. Many of the families participating in Walnut Avenue programs are from under-served populations due to poverty, early pregnancy, homelessness, and/or domestic violence. Walnut Avenue seeks to improve the economic, physical, and emotional well-being of the individuals and families we serve.

Kerri Hummingbird, Soul Guide, has unknowingly been learning from White Eagle her whole life. As her soul's journey has progressed, the pieces have fallen into place for this exact moment to be revealed.  She is a channel of, and an embodiment of, White Eagle for this time of rapid awakening which is White Eagle's specialty. 

She has served as a social activist, leader, and philanthropist for over three decades. She is the Founder of the Skills Not Pills Movement and Host of Soul Nectar Show. Ms Hummingbird inspires people to lead their lives wide awake with an authenticity, passion and purpose that positively impacts others. She catalyzes mind-shifts that transform life challenges into gifts of wisdom with her Reinvent Yourself programs for individual and group mentoring. She is the author of the award-winning best-selling book Awakening To Me: One Woman’s Journey To Self Love which describes the early years of her spiritual awakening.

Suicide Prevention Service

Suicide Prevention Service, a program of Family Service Agency of the Central Coast provides a free, confidential, and multilingual 24-hr Suicide Crisis Line for anyone who is thinking of suicide, in crisis, concerned about someone else, or grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide.  Volunteer responders provide compassionate support, community resources, and options for safety.  Program staff also offer a variety of presentations and trainings to raise awareness and prepare members of the community to get support and provide support for themselves or someone else in a suicidal crisis.  Bereavement support services (including peer led support groups for adults) are available for anyone who has lost a loved one to suicide.
